Prepaid Card Terms & Conditions

These Prepaid Card Terms & Conditions ("Card Terms") govern the purchase and use of Linh's Water & General Store Prepaid Cards. By purchasing or using a Fill Card, you agree to these Card Terms.

These Card Terms are incorporated into and should be read together with our Terms of Use.


1. Program Description

The Linh's Water & General Store Prepaid Card program allows customers to pre-purchase a bundle of water fill credits ("Fill Credits" or "Credits") for use at our in-store water dispensing stations. Each Fill Credit entitles the cardholder to one gallon of the water type associated with the credit package purchased.

Fill Cards are redeemable in-store only at our Gardena, CA location. Fill Cards are not redeemable at the outdoor cash vending machine.


2. Purchasing Fill Cards

Prepaid Cards may be purchased in-store at our point of sale. Available credit packages, pricing, and any promotional offers are posted at the counter and are subject to change without notice.

All Prepaid Card purchases are subject to our general All Sales Final policy. See our Terms of Use.


3. Redemption

Fill Credits are redeemed at our in-store water dispensing stations only. Redemption is subject to the following conditions:

  • The cardholder must present a valid Prepaid Card at the time of service.
  • The container being filled must comply with our Water Refill Policy, including cleanliness and structural integrity requirements.
  • Dispensing station availability is subject to normal business operations and maintenance.
  • One (1) Fill Credit is redeemable for one (1) gallon of the water type associated with the card package, unless otherwise agreed at the time of purchase.

4. No Expiration Date

Fill Credits purchased by customers do not expire. Your credits remain valid indefinitely regardless of how frequently or infrequently you visit.

Limited exception: Fill Credits issued at no charge as part of a promotional, referral, or loyalty program — where no money or other consideration was exchanged by the customer — may carry a stated expiration date. Any such expiration date will be clearly disclosed at the time the promotional credits are issued and will appear in the terms of that specific promotion.


5. No Fees

We do not charge service fees, maintenance fees, dormancy fees, inactivity fees, or any other fee against your Prepaid Card balance. Your credits are preserved in full until redeemed or until you exercise your cash redemption right described in Section 6.


6. Cash Redemption of Remaining Balance

Under California Civil Code §1749.5, if the cash value of your remaining Fill Credits is less than $15.00, you may request a cash refund of that remaining value at our point of sale.

To calculate the cash value of remaining credits, we will apply the per-fill price from the original package you purchased.

To request a cash redemption, present your Prepaid Card to a store employee during business hours. Cash redemption of small balances is available at any time and we will not discourage or delay such requests.

This right applies to purchased credits only. Promotional or bonus credits issued free of charge are not subject to mandatory cash redemption.


7. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards

We are not responsible for Prepaid Cards that are lost or stolen. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced and unused credits on a lost or stolen card will not be refunded. Please treat your Prepaid Card like cash.

If your Prepaid Card is physically damaged and cannot be read, bring it to the store for assistance. We will make reasonable efforts to verify and restore credits on a clearly identifiable damaged card, but cannot guarantee restoration in all circumstances.


8. Non-Transferable; No Resale

Prepaid Cards may not be resold, exchanged for value to third parties, or used for commercial redistribution. We reserve the right to cancel cards we reasonably believe are being used in violation of this section.


9. Disputes and Balance Inquiries

If you believe there is an error in your Prepaid Card balance, or if you have a question about a card transaction, please contact us promptly:

Please have your Prepaid Card present when contacting us. We will investigate and respond to balance disputes in a timely manner.


10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Card Terms at any time. Changes will be posted at linhswatergeneralstore.com/prepaidterms with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes affecting existing cardholders will also be posted at the point of sale in our store. Continued use of your Prepaid Card after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.


12. Governing Law

These Card Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, including California Civil Code §§1749.45–1749.6 (Gift Certificate Law). Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought in the state or federal courts of Los Angeles County, California, or in California small claims court where the amount qualifies.
